MORNING FROM 10 AM only in presence

Dear sangha, we inform you that in October during the conclusion of the 6-month Mantra Healer programme – the ordination of Ngakpa/ma in the Yuthok Nyingthig Tradition will be conferred by Dr. Nida.
PLACES ARE LIMITED and for all those who have completed the prerequisites required by the Yuthok NYINGTHIG

Take time to reflect and know that there will be other opportunities to participate in the future: there is no need to rush.

By participating in this ceremony you are choosing to commit to following and deeply practising the Vajrayana path for the benefit of yourself and others.

In Buddhism, there are two forms of ordination: Sutra ordination for the monastic community and Tantric ordination for the lay community of yogis and yoginis (ngakpa and ngakma).

Traditionally, with the full conferral of the Anuttarayoga Tantra, Tantric ordination is conferred; however, since many of the teachers who confer the ordination come from the monastic tradition, this part of the conferral is generally not emphasised.

WE WILL SHARE THE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION THE DETAILS THE COSTS AND SAMAYA  to those who are deeply interested.
Of course, participation is by presence only – with all that this entails. Please reply to the form if you are interested. Subsequently, final confirmation will be made through those who commit to coming.

After reading this letter, please confirm your participation by responding

We share with you some additional information on the significance of the ordination ceremony.

Traditionally, tantric ordination is conferred with the full conferment of the Anuttarayogatrantra; however, since many of the teachers who confer the ordination come from the monastic tradition, this part of the conferment is generally not emphasised.

Since many students have requested Ngakpa ordination, Dr. Nida decided to officially offer this ordination to dedicated students for the first time publicly in a group. In this ordination, offered directly by the Vajra master to the disciple, the latter receives a spiritual name and all the ritual tools necessary to become an ordained yogi/ni, formalising his or her commitment to the path.

In participating in this ordination there are three levels of samaya:

Outer samaya: one should be involved in the study and practice of healing in some form, either through the practice of medicine (Sowa Rigpa or otherwise) or through learning spiritual healing techniques for the benefit of others.

Inner samayas: these are the basic Vajrayana samayas, which consist of avoiding the fourteen fundamental falls. A summary can be found here:

Dr. Nida added that the essence of this inner samaya is to transform the five mental poisons into five wisdoms.

Secret – Samaya of the meditative state:
– Samaya of bliss – remembering that the nature of one’s mind is bliss
– Samaya of clarity – remembering that the nature of one’s mind is clarity.
– Samaya of Rigpa – remember that the nature of your mind is pure awareness.

Logistics:

This is a once in a lifetime ceremony and is not something we would like students to take lightly. Please take time and consider if you would like to participate.

The cost of participating in this ceremony is  EURO 1.200,00. The cost includes both the dana for the teacher and all the ritual objects that are traditionally given during the ordination. The ritual objects we sourced are of the highest quality, designed and shipped from Bhutan and Nepal and include:

– Zen shawl in raw silk from Bhutan
– Special long-lasting datar bamboo arrow from Bhutan
– A bell and a set of Dorje (5-pointed pacific and/or 9-pointed iraqi)
– Meditation belt specially designed in Bhutan
– Dhamaru acacia drum
– Yogi shell earrings (if you don’t have holes in your ears, they can be worn on a string)
– Shenthab yogi skirt
– Angrak Yoga skirt (tsalung)
– Phurba for healing
– Box of Gao amulets
– Melong mirror
– Tibetan text Yuthok Nyingthig
– Tibetan text of the Four Tantras

In Tibet it is traditional for the local community to support the dharma practitioners. Milarepa said that the sponsor and the practitioner share a special tendrel (auspicious connection) and when the yogi attains enlightenment, the sponsor does at the same time as a result of the merit. We understand that this may be a financial stretch for some of you, and encourage you to seek sponsorship if required or to plan ahead for a future ceremony.

You can contribute a small donation here – to help others complete the amount needed. We will let you know who you helped. Remember that you acquire merit in helping your fellow sangha members.

Some of you receiving this email have not completed the Yuthok Nyingthig prerequisites but have a long history of dharma practice in other traditions that we would like to respect. We welcome you to participate, but would like to request that you do Yuthok’s short ngondro and guru yoga practice to make a connection with this tradition when time permits.
